Casting Instructions :
Once your rod and reel are ready for use, ( with bait attached ), Tighten the Brake Control. Holding your thumb on the spool of line, move the Spool Release Lever to the "Auto Off " position, holding the tip of the rod high, let pressure off your thumb, now slowly turn the Brake Control counter clockwise until your bait slowly lowers. Your Brake is now adjusted for the weight of your bait. Cast to you desired location keeping just a little thumb pressure on the spool of line to prevent basklash. It might be a good idea to practice casting a few times to allow yourself to get a good feel for the casting process.
Setting up the Reel Alert System :
After you have casted the bait to your desired location, crank any undesireable slack out of your line. Set the Master Switch to the ON position, the Electronic Signals are now activated. Turn the Drag Control " Counter Clockwise " until it is easy to pull some line from the spool, pull line very slowly from the spool, when the Electronic Signals stop, this is the " Idle Position ". Set the sensativity by turning the Drag Control " Clockwise " to make it harder for the fish to pull line, or " Counter Clockwise to make it easier for the fish to pull Line. Adjust the Sensativity like this until you find the best setting for your fishing situation. Now the reel is ready and you can relax until the reel sends you signals that there is a Fish Strike.
When the Fish Strike occurrs, get to the rod and get ready to set the hook. If the fish is making a run with your line, the Reel Alert Signals will be beeping and blinking. Silence the signals if you wish by turning the Master Switch to the Off position, Tighten the Drag Control and you are ready to Set the Hook any time you wish.
